For 2019 we are hosting two Great Allegheny Passage Bicycling Adventures and one trip along the C&O Canal.
Unlocking the magic of memories never gets old, in fact, it is one of the more gratifying aspects of our job.
As always, we had a fantastic time at our Spooky Spokes ride year.
Did you hear about our camping trip last weekend on The Great Allegheny Passage? We had so much fun riding with new and old friends! Don’t worry if you missed out on the fun, we have another great adventure in the fall!
On Saturday, June 30, 2018 – Tuesday, July 3, 2018 The Bicycle Escape will be leading a touring adventure on the Great Allegheny Passage.
Do you have a youth (grades 6-12) in your life who likes mountain biking or who might like to learn? Great! Bring them to The Bicycle Escape on February 27 at 6:30pm.
Bottom bracket height is always a bit of a compromise. A high BB reduces the likelihood of striking your pedals on rocks, but it also means a higher center of gravity which can have a negative effect on handling.
We are once again super honored to have been designated as one of the best shops in the country.
OK weight weenies, our bike weight index is back and in full swing! We created this database years ago but discarded it when we migrated to our new website.
For those of you who don’t know, this past weekend we enjoyed a riding and camping adventure on the C&O canal.
Come to The Bicycle Escape Friday, May 12th from 5:00-8:00pm for our Annual Bike to Work Day Pre-registration Party.
We had a great time at the Saint Patrick’s Day ride. We met at Brewer’s Ally then road the city streets forming the pattern of a shamrock.
The Bicycle Escape has a close relationship with our friends at Deity, and we are more than excited to help them release their impressive 2017 product line up!
This rusty little Pilot was a really fun restoration project! The bicycle’s owner chose to have the bike painted and some of the more character-building pieces chromed. The finished product shows it all and her childhood bike is ready to go!
Some old bikes just want to be resurrected from their state of rusty disrepair. They yearn to be born again as fresh, near-new machines waiting to hit the road… this bike was not one of those bikes.
Are you looking forward to warmer spring temperatures? Join us for our annual Groundhog Ride on Saturday February 4th!
Chef Bryan Voltaggio said: “No child should go hungry!” We agree, as does Giant Bicycles.
Our latest restoration was a ton of fun. The scope of the work called for fresh paint and a few new parts but no headlight work or chrome plating.
Yep, that’s right we have been selling used bikes since day one.
