I am very excited to announce that Danielle and I will be attending the 2009 North American Handmade Bicycle Show in Indianapolis on February 27 – March 1. While at the event we plan on blogging more than a teenage girl who scored tickets to a Jonas Bothers concert.
This year’s swap meet was pretty fun. We were there with the ‘Wheel Game’ for the fourth consecutive year. Lots of bottle caps found good homes and it was good to catch up with people we don’t get to see very often.
The Bicycle Escape invites fans of handmade bicycles to our shop on June 12 at 8:30 pm for a presentation by frame builder Jeff Jones. Jeff’s unique designs challenge traditional thinking and push the limits of hardtail mountain bikes.
Welcome to Bike Month everybody!!! This morning I was greeted with perfect temperatures and a cool breeze as I cycled to work. I want to encourage everyone to enjoy the same pleasure. This month is packed with fun stuff!
It was nice to see so many friendly faces at the 2008 Stop, Swap, and Save event this past weekend in Westminster. This year we brought back the super popular “Wheel Game” and many of you left The Bicycle Escape booth with cool prizes.
Not that many people would consider competing in a 62 mile cyclocross race on a fixed gear, especially one with 6300 feet of elevation gain. But one of our racers, Kevin Clark, was up to the challenge.
The 2007 Independent Fabrication party was a blast! Matt Bracken gave a great presentation to a full house. He touched on everything from custom fittings to material selection. As promised the shop was full of exceptionally beautiful handcrafted bicycles.
Danielle, Roger and I had a lot of fun at this past Friday’s bike to work celebration. The event attracted riders both young and old atop all sorts of bicycles. We were offering free coffee and bagels to warm up the slightly chilly riders.
Yesterday was the Stop Swap and Save bicycle swap meet in Westminster. For the second year in a row we spent the day inviting attendees to play the “Wheel Game” for a chance at one of many great prizes.
You are viewing the first batch of photos from last weekend’s Independent Fabrication event where IF President, Matt Bracken, spoke on the past, present and future of the company and it’s magnificent bikes.
